Welcome the Media Center at Proctor Junior - Senior High School.  The  Media Center is a quiet place to do research, homework and leisure reading.  It features an electronic card catalog which students can search HERE.  It is also a member of the Vermont Automated Library System, which gives students and staff access to interlibrary loan.  Students have full access to the Internet via Netscape and America Online on seven computer stations.   Social Issues Resource Series (SIRS) and the Full Text Readers Guide to Periodical Literature are available online.

In addition to current paperbacks, daily newspapers, periodicals, reference materials, fiction and non-fiction books, the library has an extensive reference CD-ROM collection.  The audio-visual collection includes videocassettes, recordings, transparencies and a variety of other materials.  The Media Center also has full cable and satellite access.  The high school library is a distribution site for federal and state tax forms.

The media center is open to students during the day, as well as before and after school.  Instruction in the Media Center meets the Vermont Framework of Standards, 1.18, 1.19, 1.20, 1.21.
